This is Reuben building blocks. He's in his "sleepy suit" and ready for bed but far from sleepy!

Off on Friday and we spent the day washing down and painting the exterior of Winnie's house.

Reuben enjoyed climbing the ladder.

When we were all finished we had a picnic in the garden.

It was Mavis' 65th Birthday on Tuesday and a surprise birthday party had been arranged in Donaghadee Golf Club.









A whole web of intrigue (lies!) had been woven to get Mavis and Carl, dressed up and out. They thought they were going to a Charity Formal for the Children's Hospice in the Stormont Hotel and were only stopping by the golf club to pick up someone who was also going.
Big surprise then when 60 of their friends sang "Happy Birthday" when they arrived. So we had a night's craic and some Salsa dancing.

Day off on Friday, and as there was a break for a few hours in the terrible weather we have been having recently, we decided to go out geocaching.

We went down to Island Magee and Portmuck.

Had lunch at the Gobbins Path. A lot of the path was washed away and a bit dodgy!

Portmuck was busy, (for Portmuck!) with a couple of cars in the car park and we went for a walk up over the headland.

Nice bright sunny day out.

Woke to very heavy rain this morning but by lunchtime it was bright and warm.

First sunshine I've seen for a week so I took the afternoon off and went for a walk with Lilian around the Gobbins at Whitehead.
